YOU ARE LOOKING AT TIME
All panoramas are taken from windows of moving vehicles. At first glance, the panoramas look like static shots, but in fact they conceal a short film. Depending on speed, light, range of а landscape, it takes from 5 seconds to 10 minutes or more to shoot a panorama. During this time it is assembled from hundreds of vertical strips. Here you can see how it happens.
ROUTES THEMSELVES BECAME TARGETS
As a kid, I was a suitcase in the back seat of my parents' car. At 25, I found myself in the passenger position again, in the Sahara during a team-building trip in the bosses' jeep. That's when I shot my first panorama. Since then I don't feel like a "suitcase" even in the back seat. The way I found to create panoramas awarded a new status to the path between points A and B. Together with the smartphone, which is usually accused of distracting us from the world around us, we are together creating a new myth of reality.
FAMILIAR UNFOLDS AS GIFT DOES
Each of these routes is familiar to some. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we stop paying attention to landscapes behind windows. My way of shooting panoramas reveals a hidden gift in each itinerary. The trip is no longer transportation. The melancholy of the passenger is replaced by an excitable meditation in search of the perfect panorama.
